We have all seen them, hugely popular in stores such as Home Depot, Lowes, and Wal-Mart polished concrete can be found
in a variety of settings from the largest industrial and warehouse settings to a home right around the corner.
A concrete floor no longer has to be the dusty, dull surface it once was. Panhandle Home Solutions LLC can transform
your concrete into as sophisticated a surface as the finest marble, using the most advanced polishing and densifying
systems and equipment.
Concrete polishing has finally come of age and is fast becoming the ultimate sophisticated, beautiful, yet practical
floor. Recent advances in polishing equipment allow us to grind new or old concrete surfaces to a new level of gloss
finish that NEVER need waxes or coatings. This new hard dense surface allows a better use of light due to the surface
reflectivity.
Here is an easy was to understand concrete polishing. It is a lot like sanding a wood floor. Sophisticated polishing
machines are fitted with progressively finer grits of diamond-impregnated discs, like sand paper, to grind surfaces
smooth to the desired degree of shine. During the grinding process a penetrating densifier or concrete hardener is
applied. When surfaces are clean and dry, they are no more slippery than plain concrete surfaces.
There are a huge number of decorative concrete applications. They include custom chemical staining (acid staining),
decorative scoring, dying and many personal touches. Chemical staining and dying creates a one-of-a-kind floor that
cannot be duplicated because each concrete floor will accept stains differently. Each floor is made of a different
concrete/stone mix, different aggregate, and differing previous use. These color stains and dyes react with the surface
and penetrate -- they ARE NOT paints or coatings.
Unfortunately floors that are wavy, need extensive patching, or are extremely porous may not respond well to
polishing. Our experienced sales staff will be able to advise you.
Imagine your home or business with sophisticated concrete floors, interior or exterior, that provide a warm drift
of colors. Perhaps shadings of natural stone work for you? Innovation in design allows the creation for your own
masterpiece. To keep it looking great for years, just mop occasionally, with warm water and a neutral cleaner.
From big jobs to small, we have the equipment to handle your job.
Locally owned, Panhandle Home Solutions LLC, is your place to start when considering the sophistication of polished
concrete for your home or business floors.
